Songs everybody knows, reworked as funk, soul and jazz. Six musicians, a voice in charge and a groove that gets the room moving.

The Mangrooves started in Blanes around 2022 with a simple idea: take songs everyone has in their head, from Radiohead to Ariana Grande, from Oasis to The Clash, and bring them into funk, soul and jazz territory, in the spirit of Scary Pockets.
The name mixes mangroves and groove: roots sunk deep in the water and a rhythm that never stops. Today they are six: Maria Collado on vocals, Joan Garriga on keys, Ignàs on guitar, Peter Browning on trumpet, Fede Bartumeus on bass and Adrià Ventura on drums. They started as a quartet, and since 2025 Ignàs's guitar and Peter's trumpet have given the sound more body and a horn line.
In 2024 they released Scary Songs, seven covers available on Spotify. They opened Clon Festival at the Roca d'en Maig in Lloret and have played the Blanes Harbour Festival, the Teatre de Lloret, La Barretina Vermella, and hotels, bars and restaurants in Cadaqués and along the Costa Brava.

Vocals, keys, guitar, trumpet, bass and drums. For town festivals, venues, festivals and outdoor stages.
Vocals, keys, bass and a minimal kit (kick, snare and hi-hat). For restaurants, hotels and terraces with little space.
Weddings, cocktail hours, company dinners and celebrations. We adapt songs, volume and length to each moment.
Shows of 1 hour, 90 minutes or 2 hours, in one or several sets. We have plenty of material.
Current songbook. All are the band's own arrangements. We shape the setlist to the moment, from a laid-back aperitif to the last dance.

Full drum kit, bass and bass amp, guitar, trumpet, keyboard and vocal mic. We do not bring a PA or monitors.
Vocals, keys (2 DI), bass (DI) and minimal kit (kick, snare and hi-hat): 7 channels and 2–3 monitors. For venues without their own PA, we can arrange a small rental system at extra cost.
